Job Scope:

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the transport planner will perform duties related to creating route plans, utilizing planning software to out put a cost-effective route manifest for each day of the week. The transportation planner will be responsible for numerous day to day KPI’s and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and output daily route plans based on all sales orders and back-haul requirements for the organization
  • Review previous day’s execution of routes, non completions and reroute for the following days delivery plan
  • Assess constraints, issues, delays, and make adjustments on an ongoing basis to ensure productivity is improved
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly KPI reports that include but are not limited to demurrage at customer, avg route time, on-time delivery…
  • Review routing plans and look for innovative ways to improve / reduce route duration to drive cost savings
  • Responsible for Master Data Management within route planning software
  • Work with cross functional stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of applicable load planning experience
  • Previous experience working with Paragon Planning Software an asset
  • Strong knowledge of MTO regulations and HOS
  • Very strong analytical skills
  • Experience with master data management
  • Strong excel skills to assimilate and report on data
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Good decision-making & problem-solving capabilities
  • CITT designation preferred
  • Must be able to work the afternoon shift 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm – Monday to Friday

Machine Operator 2

Machine Operator 2

Status: Full-time (Nights)
Location: Clayson
Department: Production

Job Scope:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position operates Filling / Packaging equipment, as well as provides relief coverage in other areas of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Packaging Machine in the Packaging department
  • Monitor and perform routine checks of systems to ensure lines are running smoothly
  • Conduct daily CIP washes of systems.
  • Interact with maintenance and supervisory staff regarding any production issues
  • Complete documentation of GMPs, MSS and HACCP related items
  • Maintain accurate and detailed packaging records and perform line checks as required
  • Cross-train to learn how to use equipment and machinery in various areas of the plant
  • Provide relief coverage for other machine operators/plant helpers
  • Food Safety & Quality responsibility as outlined in SOPs & other training materials provided and accurate record keeping
  • Attend prescribed courses/training

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of GMPs and HACCP, including excellent sanitary habits is required
  • Minimum 2 years of machine operating experience, preferably in a food or beverage environment
  • Experience with CIP, Aseptic, and ESL packaging preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting ability
  • Good communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team
  • Self motivated with the ability to multi-task
  • Physically capable of performing the demands of the job
  • Must be punctual and diligent
  • Computer skills and experience working with automated machinery
  • Flexible to cover various shifts, vacation or illness relief as required

Working Environment:

Regular exposure to noise, cold temperatures, humidity and dry conditions. Continuous exposure to hazardous machines, moving objects (forklifts) and frequent interruptions. Occasional exposure to dust and extreme temperatures. (Freezer -18 degrees)

Physical Demands:

Standing for extended length of time, sitting and walking for considerable length of time. Moderate lifting of materials up to maximum 60lbs.
