MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – April 7, 2025 – Gay Lea Foods Co-operative Limited (“Gay Lea Foods”) today announced that Katie Rogers has joined the Mississauga, Ontario-based dairy co-operative in the role of chief people officer.
Rogers, who most recently served as vice president, people, national retail, at Walmart Canada, is a seasoned HR professional specializing in change and performance management. She will be responsible for leading Gay Lea Foods’ people strategy and fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture that supports the co-operative’s values and strategic goals.
Rogers succeeds vice president of human resources, Dana Stevens, who announced his plans to retire September 30, 2025.
Stevens has led the HR function at Gay Lea Foods for nearly 10 years, serving as a trusted advisor to two CEOs and management teams, and playing a critical leadership role during the co-operative’s recent period of rapid growth. Before joining Gay Lea Foods, he also left his mark at Dominion/A&P, Cadbury, Canon Canada, and Weston Foods over his impressive 40+ year career in human resources.
