Job Scope:

Reporting to the Vice-President, Finance, the Business Analytics Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of gross to net revenue tasks including monthly sales reporting/analysis and end to end rebate management. Supplying various inputs to the annual budget cycle, this position has accountability for providing accurate information to ensure business decisions are made accurately in a timely and data driven manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage trade promotions on company’s core ERP data system (D365)
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to gather, analyze and prioritize requests
  • Perform complex data extractions from various sources and analysis to deliver actionable insights in a timely manner, while ensuring data quality, consistency and integrity
  • Serve as the primary contact for escalations that require further in-depth analysis
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement based on analysis where required
  • Perform various ad-hoc reporting, research and analysis duties to support day to day operational and strategic management decisions
  • Develop various management reports, dashboards, presentations and other analytical tools to increase visibility and communicate challenges and concerns with suggested improvements
  • Compile and analyze sales and gross margin data both actual and budgeted to identify trends, short falls, and gains
  • Work with Sales team to prepare sales and gross margin by customer by sales channel budget annually
  • Responsible for upload and maintenance of sales and gross margin into DAX 365
  • Prepare and explain documentation required for external auditors

Qualifications:

Job Scope:

We are looking for a dynamic and highly experienced Payroll professional to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate has worked with high-volume payroll in an HCM systems driven environment. Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, the successful applicant will process payroll for 1000+ hourly and salaried employees, including union and non-union groups. In addition, the candidate will have a strong financial acumen to work closely with our Payroll Manager and finance team on payroll reporting, GL reconciliations and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of the bi-weekly full cycle payroll process for 1000+ employees using the Ceridian Dayforce HCM system, while maximizing efficiencies and ensuring data integrity
  • Update payroll related records within the system, including taxation, deductions/earnings set-up, group benefits premiums, etc.
  • Assist with the maintenance of various payroll schedules (maternity leave top-ups, salary continuance, STD payments, taxable benefits, etc.), prepare ROEs and other related tasks
  • Audit employee time and attendance hours worked for calculating or coding errors, coordinate resolutions and approvals with approving supervisors, HR business partners and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of hourly pay data
  • Assist with the preparation of payroll remittances to various third-party payees such as CRA, WSIB, wage garnishments, payroll taxes, group benefits premiums, union dues, etc.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of statutory deductions and annual reports for CRA, CSST, EHT and WSIB, including reconciliations and issuance of year-end T4’s, T4A’s, and RL-1’s
  • Assist with the performance of all legislation changes while auditing risk to the company in reference to remittance thresholds such as WSIB and other statutory requirements`
  • Monitor and maintain processes and controls for payroll related activities and systems
  • Provide professional advice and service to internal clients such as HR colleagues, finance, operations staff, employees, as well as external contacts such as Service Canada, CNESST, CRA, Sun Life and others
  • Adhere to the terms of the Collective Agreement when dealing with unionized employees
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of payroll systems and keep abreast of legislative and regulatory changes impacting payroll

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in handling high-volume payroll
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation required
  • Post-secondary education with a focus in Administration and or Accounting preferred
  • Experience processing payroll in Ceridian Dayforce required
  • Experience with unionized and/or manufacturing hourly payroll environment preferred
  • Excellent computer skills are required, including advanced proficiency in Excel

Job Scope:

Reporting to the Manager, Operations, the Maintenance Technician – Millwright is responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all equipment and machinery at the Teeswater facility including refrigeration, waste water systems, steam boiler, building maintenance and other duties as required.

Control Systems Technologist - Programmer

Job Scope:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Control Systems Technologist is primarily responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment in our Teeswater facility. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and input into our plant expansion including automated, PLC, and instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot and respond to equipment and software problems
  • Assist in planning and overseeing the implementation of systems and technical projects
  • Provide staff training in use of applications, software and hardware
  • Program PLC and HMI applications for integration and troubleshooting of automated process equipment

Qualifications:

Accounts Payable Coordinator

Job Scope:

We are currently looking for a highly driven and organized Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Finance team. The AP Coordinator will work closely with the Accounts Payable Supervisor to ensure the full AP cycle is completed each month. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including invoice entry, payment run processing, audits, manual filling, and special projects as required. Key Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle Accounts Payable, including receive, match, verify and post payable invoices/expenses to ERP system and prepare cheques for mailing and EFT file for upload to the bank, in compliance with financial policies and reporting deadlines
  • Reconcile accounts, ensure orders are received and invoiced accurately, and resolve account discrepancies with vendors on a timely basis
  • Review and accurately disseminate all correspondence received via the AP inbox
  • Record monthly accruals
  • Assist with general ledger reconciliation and general journal postings

IT Support Technician

As an integral member of the IT team, the IT Support Technician plays an important role in ensuring that users receive expert, prompt, and professional customer service for all their IT application requests and support tickets. They are also responsible for monitoring and ensuring the successful completion of daily checklists. The IT Support Technician has in-depth functional knowledge of Gay Lea Foods business applications and processes, and is adept at investigating and troubleshooting application errors, master data anomalies and inconsistencies, and helping users with their application how-to questions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the EDI systems
  • Provide administrative and functional support for customer EDI portals such as Tungsten, Ariba and Itrade
  • Execute daily, weekly and monthly system tasks and checklists for EDI
  • Provide support for Dynamics 365, Dynamics AX 2009, and Highjump WMS
  • Manage the IT application ticket support Q and resolve or assign as needed
