Accounts Payable Coordinator

Accounts Payable Coordinator

Job Scope:

We are currently looking for a highly driven and organized Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Finance team. The Coordinator will work closely with the Accounts Payable Supervisor to ensure the full AP cycle is completed each month. The ideal candidate can manage 100-150 invoices per day, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload. Key Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle Accounts Payable, including receive, match, verify and post payable invoices/expenses to ERP system and prepare cheques for mailing and EFT file for upload to the bank, in compliance with financial policies and reporting deadlines.
  • Reconcile accounts, ensure orders are received and invoiced accurately, and resolve account discrepancies with vendors on a timely basis
  • Review and accurately disseminate all correspondence received via the AP inbox
  • Record monthly accruals
  • Assist with general ledger reconciliation and general journal postings
  • Maintain and file documentation, which include invoices, receipts, vendor banking information, vendor credit applications and other documents as required
  • Analyze and reconcile vendor statements and manage vendor aging
  • Continuously maintaining accurate filing and record systems
  • Undertake other duties or ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications:

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of accounting
  • 5 years prior accounts payable experience in a high-volume manual environment
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable best practices, standard concepts, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, and experience in compliance and year-end audits.
  • Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Previous ERP system experience, Microsoft Dynamics will be considered an asset
  • A customer focused approach to dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Professional demeanor, excellent communication (written and verbal) and inter-personal skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment while being able to work independently

Gay Lea Foods is looking for a dynamic and creative Product Manager to join our team! Working closely with the Director of Marketing, the Product Manager will identify and develop innovative ideas to grow a product category. This opportunity will allow the Product Manager the opportunity to demonstrate and strengthen their marketing leadership skills and further their hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and execution of brand strategy and marketing plans to deliver short and long-term growth targets
  • Prepare marketing reports to identify areas of focus and drive growth
  • Determine appropriate objectives and strategies for all elements of the marketing mix by utilizing current marketplace trends and identifying challenges and opportunities
  • Influence all areas of P&L including management of annual category budgets for consumer spending
  • Work closely with finance to manage yearly category budgets
  • Lead the development of new products through a stage gate process, including research, product development, packaging, pricing, and activation strategies

Qualifications:

  • University degree in business (preferably with marketing focus)
  • 5+ years’ experience in a strategic marketing role within packaged goods, food or grocery channel
  • Extensive project management skills and experience in bringing products to market
  • Advanced computer skills required, including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other MS applications
  • Experience working with business tools including Nielsen, D365 an asset
  • Self motivated with high energy, ability to multi-task and execute multiple projects on time and on budget

Quality Control Lab Technician

Job Scope:

Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, the scope of this position involves ensuring the production process meets superior food safety systems (HACCP) and quality standards from entry of raw materials into the facility, to the processing of goods, to shipment of finished product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare samples, media and buffers used for daily analysis
  • Perform chemical and microbiological testing of dairy products
  • Generate test results with a high level of accuracy and reliability
  • Conduct product swabbing and environmental sampling
  • Produce reports and computer data entry of various information for the purpose of maintaining accurate records
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and maintain cleanliness within the lab
  • Work closely with production staff in the areas of sanitation, hygiene, GMPs and related necessary training
  • Responsible to train operators on all changes to the Food Safety & Quality system as communicated by Management and QA
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the food industry
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or Diploma in Microbiology or Food Science
  • Knowledge of microbiological procedures and autoclaving techniques
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, allergens, and food security
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and problem solving skills
  • Proficient computer abilities using Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Own transportation and ability to work weekends and overtime as required

Working Environment:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Bulk Hauling, the scope of this position involves the transportation of liquid goods from plants and/or farms to other facilities in a safe and timely manner. Other responsibilities include loading and offloading trucks and other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate trucks and equipment as per standard operating procedures
  • Complete log books and run sheets accurately and thoroughly each day
  • Weigh volume of milk and record in log
  • Grade milk, take, store and deliver samples
  • Provide exemplary customer service to all customers
  • Assist in loading and offloading of trucks if needed
  • Food Safety & Quality responsibility as outlined in SOPs & other training materials provided and accurate record keeping
  • Attend prescribed courses and training as required

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License
  • "AZ" classification: “A” license, "Z" Airbrake Endorsement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise and bridge daily communication in French and English, between internal departments (Sales, Supply Chain and Finance) and external partners in operational matters to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Manage all orders within your client portfolio and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Provide support to Key Account team members as required.
  • Proactively resolve issues that threaten service levels.
  • Ensure and exhibit a professional attitude and demeanour to all who contact the company.
  • Issue return merchandise authorization numbers and/or return of products (credit processing) to eligible customers.
  • Respond to consumer inquiries as back-up to the consumer relations team, and complete associated tasks, including forwarding complaints with proper documentation to the respective Quality Control Supervisor, for their investigation and written response within 24 hours, making necessary arrangements to pick up complaint products for analysis.
  • Food Safety and Quality responsibility as outlined in SOPs and other training materials provided and accurate record keeping.
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent English and French verbal and written communication.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant Customer Service experience, in a fast-paced, Consumer Goods (CG) environment.
  • Post-secondary education completed.
  • Previous experience in the Food Processing Industry is a strong asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and excel in a team environment.
  • Self-starter and team player with strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated excellent Telephone/Communication/People skills, both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience with an ERP system is an asset.
  • Proven ability to exercise diplomacy and sound judgment in stressful situations.
