Job Scope:

Reporting to the National Distribution Manager, the successful applicant will provide overall leadership for the satellite warehouse operations, in Boucherville, QC. This is a small, but significant part of our distribution network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day activities of the DC including safety, quality, recruitment and employee matters

Job Scope:

We are looking for a dynamic and highly experienced Payroll professional to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate has owned all payroll related processes in a high-volume and HCM systems driven environment. Reporting to the Manager, Compensation & Benefits and HR, the successful applicant will process payroll for 1000+ hourly and salaried employees, including union and non-union groups, and possesses multi-provincial payroll experience. In addition, the candidate will have a strong financial acumen to work closely with our finance team on payroll reporting, GL reconciliations and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the bi-weekly full cycle payroll process for 1000+ employees using the Ceridian Dayforce HCM system, while maximizing efficiencies and ensuring data integrity
  • Update payroll related records within the system, including taxation, deductions/earnings set-up, group benefits premiums, etc.
  • Maintain various payroll schedules (maternity leave top-ups, salary continuance, STD payments, taxable benefits, etc.), prepare ROEs and other related tasks
  • Audit employee time and attendance hours worked for calculating or coding errors, coordinate resolutions and approvals with approving supervisors, HR business partners and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of hourly pay data
  • Prepare payroll remittances to various third-party payees such as CRA, WSIB, wage garnishments, payroll taxes, group benefits premiums, union dues, etc.

Job Scope:

Reporting to the Director, Logistics & Procurement, the Customs Compliance Specialist is an integral part of the corporate Logistics team. In this role, you will facilitate the seamless execution of all customs, compliance and trade documentation and matters related to the importing/exporting of cross border shipments. You will play a key role in the development of Gay Lea Foods’ compliance strategy and processes to minimize trade costs and ensure compliance with export and import laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all necessary customs administration and documentation required for import/export shipments, including Prior Notices, Custom Duty invoices and documentation, C-TPAT & PIP (Canadian and US Federal Homeland Import Security), etc.
  • Analyze and assess applicable Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HS) classification, examining invoices, manifests and supporting documents for conformity to tariffs and customs laws
  • Liaise with internal partners, customs agencies and brokers, government departments and logistics providers to ensure proper declarations and clearance requirements are met to deliver timely customs clearances
