WINNIPEG, Manitoba – April 11, 2025 – Gay Lea Foods Co-operative Limited (“Gay Lea Foods”) today announced plans to consolidate its Bothwell Cheese retail locations in Manitoba.
Consumers can continue to find a variety of Bothwell’s award-winning, natural cheeses at the Bothwell Factory Cheese Shop in New Bothwell, Manitoba, which is open each Monday to Saturday to serve the local community.
The Fromagerie Bothwell store at 136 Provencher Boulevard in downtown Winnipeg will close on May 3, 2025.
Bothwell Cheeses can be found at retail locations throughout the province and across the country, including at Safeway, Sobeys, FreshCo, NoFrills, Red River Co-op, and Save-On-Foods, in Manitoba, ensuring customers have uninterrupted access to their favorite Bothwell Cheese items.
While the Bothwell Cheese brand continues to grow in popularity across Canada, shifting consumer shopping habits made a downtown retail location increasingly difficult to justify.
