Savvy Strawberries
Simply Elegant Strawberries
Dress up your strawberries for an elegant summer's evening.
Preparation Time:
10 minutes
Ingredients:
| 1/3 cup | packed brown sugar | 75 ml |
| 1/3 cup | Gay Lea Sour Cream (Low Fat or Regular) | 75 ml |
| 1/2 tsp | vanilla | 2ml |
| 12 | large Ontario strawberries | 12 |
Instructions:
Press brown sugar through fine mesh sieve into bowl.
In another bowl, whisk together sour cream and vanilla. Hold strawberries by stem end and dip each one into sour cream mixture then into brown sugar. Makes 12 strawberries.
Tip: Be sure to pat strawberries dry before dipping to ensure sour cream sticks to the berries. At casual gatherings, let your guests dip their own strawberries.
Note: Brown sugar melts into the sour cream as they sit.
