Peanut Butter Tart Squares
These squares are a delicious treat for the family or a great gift for the holidays.

Ingredients:
| 1/4 cup | Gay Lea Spreadables Butter | 60 mL |
| 1/4 cup | smooth peanut butter | 60 mL |
| 1/3 cup | lightly packed brown sugar | 75 mL |
| 3/4 cup | all-purpose flour | 175 mL |
| 1/4 cup | Fleischmann's Canada Corn Starch | 60 mL |
| 1/4 tsp | salt | 1 mL |
| Topping: | ||
| 1/2 cup | BeeHive Corn Syrup | 125 mL |
| 2 tbsp | Fleischmann's Canada Corn Starch | 30 mL |
| 1/4 tsp | baking powder | 1 mL |
| Pinch | Salt | |
| 2 tbsp | Gay Lea Spreadables Butter | 30 mL |
| 2 | Naturegg Omega 3 Eggs, beaten | |
| 1 tsp | Vanilla | 5 mL |
| 1/2 cup | chopped unsalted roasted peanuts | 125 mL |
| 1/2 cup | CHIPITS REESE Peanut Butter Chips | 125 mL |
| 1/2 cup | CHIPITS SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips | 125 mL |
Instructions:
Beat butter, peanut butter and sugar in bowl until creamy. Stir in flour, cornstarch and salt until well combined and crumbly. Press evenly into bottom of buttered 8-inch (20cm) square baking dish. Bake in 350F (180C) oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until pale golden around edges; set aside.
Topping: Stir together corn syrup, cornstarch, baking powder and salt until smooth. Stir in butter, eggs, and vanilla until well blended. Pour over crust. Sprinkle peanuts, and peanut butter and chocolate chips over top.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden and just set in the centre. Let cool completely in pan on rack. Cut into 1 1/2-inch (4cm) squares. Makes 20 squares.
Tip: Recipe doubles easily to fill a 9-x13-inch (3L) baking pan.
