Cheddar Walnut Bread
This easy to make bread is a year round favourite and is great to serve during the holidays.
Preparation Time:

Ingredients:
| 2 cups | all purpose flour | 500 mL |
| 2/3 cup | sugar | 150 mL |
| 1 tbsp | baking powder | 15 mL |
| 3/4 tsp | salt | 4 mL |
| 1 | beaten egg | |
| 1 cup | milk | 250 mL |
| 1/4 cup | melted butter | 50 mL |
| 1-1/2 cups | shredded Sharp Canadian Cheddar | 375 mL |
| 1-1/2 cups | toasted walnut pieces | 375 mL |
| Additional Sharp Canadian Cheddar, to garnish |
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl, combine beaten egg, milk and melted butter. Add to flour mixture and stir just until moistened.
Fold in Sharp Canadian Cheddar and toasted walnut pieces. Turn butter into buttered 9x5x3-inch (2L) loaf pan or 3 (2-cup/500mL) mini loaf pans.
Bake in 350F (180C) oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until done. Sprinkle with addtional Sharp Canadian Cheddar. Cool 10 minutes in pan; turn out and cool completely.
