TORONTO, ON, December 4, 2024 – Gay Lea Foods is returning to Toronto for the 2024 Holiday season with an immersive holiday pop-up experience – Gay Lea Shortbread Village. The free family-friendly festive pop-up will runs from Thursday, December 5 to Sunday, December 22 at The Well (lower level, 486 Front St. West.)
Guests can create whimsical characters that will help build Canada’s largest shortbread village, celebrating our country’s unique population. Decorating workshops will allow consumers to create characters to add to the collaborative decor of the whimsical shortbread village. Shortbread cookie decorating will also be available from December 5 to December 15. For every share made using the tag #GayLeaShareJoy, Gay Lea will donate $1 to Habitat for Humanity Canada, with the goal of raising $10,000 CAD.
Thoughtfully designed to evoke joy in guests of all ages, visitors will be transported to a charming shortbread village filled with enchanting experiences including a miniature shortbread town embellished with frosting icicles, glitter, sprinkles and sugary confections.
“We’re excited to bring a ‘sweet’ new immersive holiday experience to Toronto for the 2024 holiday season with our Gay Lea Shortbread Village pop-up that celebrates the cherished memories made from baking Christmas treats with loved ones – from shortbread cookies to holiday cakes and everything in-between,” said Erin Matier, business unit director at Gay Lea Foods. “Our holiday pop-up installation is one of our favourite ways to creatively express and share what Gay Lea stands for, including spreading joy and giving back to our community.”
